In other words it is just a step below the new artist series and was origionally considered as a higher end seagull guitars. As it turns out this style of guitar is basically the same guitar as an artist series guitar WITHOUT the inlays. What I found out is that this style of guitar is actually an older model like last years or something which came out before the company put their guitars into the three separate catagories, S series, M series, & Artist series. Out of all the ones I played this one sounded as good or better then the rest and for the price there was no contest which guitar to go for expecially since the hard shell case was included.īefore I purchased the guitar though I did some inquiring about the guitar being S6 compared to the artist series as they were both the same price (something didn't make much sense). I even played three or so Seagull artist series guitars. Before I purchased it i played a variety of brands that were higher priced including Martin, Taylor, etc. I love it! The sound is awesome and althought it doesn't have all of the inlays like the Artist series guitars I actually like it better without. I recently purchased the same style of guitar (S6 CW Mahogany HG)in Aug 2001.
